I polished the feed ramp a few weeks ago to get ready to shoot it, and I went through 3 magazines of Monarch 115 grain without a hiccup. Next I went through a magazine of Norma hollow points. No hiccup there, either.It's no secret that some guns are picky when it comes to ammo. Although it's an effective carry gun, the Taurus G3c tends to be a bit pickier about ammo than other firearms. This is mostly attributed to narrow feed ramps that can potentially cause a jam. And some ammunition makes the issue worse.Any grinding, sandpaper or "polishing" Will Void your warranty. If the gun shop wont help you, you may have to send it back to Taurus for repair. Its a 9mm. All 9mm ammo should work in your gun regardless of fmj or hollow point or brand. Don't get dis-hearted. Any gun can have problems. Learn your gun.So I would listen to others advice on clearing the round. But disassemble and clean every part! Oil completely and take it to the range with target ammo first. After using a couple boxes then try hollow points. The jagged edges of hollow points make it much easier to catch an edge and grab the barrel preventing a proper load.I have a Taurus g3c that I got over the holiday season, noticed last night that it is having an issue feeding the first 3/4 shells while trying to rack it through, after that it goes smooth. I've noted recently with my PT1911 that when chambering with a slow racking motion that hollow points seem to fail to feed as the lip of the round seems to get caught on the lower edge of the barel. Chambering never seems to be a problem with quick racking motions.I cant imagine that the G3C and the g3 come with different ramps from the factory for reasons of size of the firearm. Walked into Dunhams today just to check on ammo. They had two boxes of Federal 9mm fmj white box on the shelf. And, 15-20 boxes of Aluminum casing 9mm fmj. I know my G3C does not like steel at all. But I've never tried aluminum.Yeah the G3x series seems to have a little more trouble with hollow points than the G2 series (at least in my experience of owning both a G3C and a G2S).
